Turn every tablet or smartphone (iOS, Windows, Android) into a
dynamic digital photo frame. PicApport is optimized to only
transmit the necessary resolution. This makes the transfer as
fast as if the photos were accessed locally.
From V3.0, PicApport can store your images on the devices
connected to the network as 'local collections' to the browser.
View your dynamic query without having connection to the server

Since version 2.0.1, PicApport is able to automatically download photos from email accounts. PicApport Photo-Server is able to set metadata to the downloaded photos, depending on the sender.
You have a new Tablet PC or iPad and want to access your existing photos stored on a PC without copying them again and again to the new devices? Then PicApport is exactly what you need.
Simply start PicApport where the images are stored on the PC and you can start watching them from any network connected device with your preferred browser. Of course, this also works on Android smartphones or iPhones with built-in Wi-Fi.
The browser interface has been optimized for smartphones and tablets (e.g. iOS or Android). Before photos are transfered to the end device they are scaled to the full display size. In this way large files of current cameras can be transferred quickly. The server is optimized so that only the pictures that are needed at that moment are kept to be scaled. Wiping gestures can be used to skim through the pictures.
Take a look! The following metadata can be diplayed as desired: Title, date, file name, rating, camera model, ISO, aperture, exposure, focal length, original image size, keywords, people.
Just tap or click left to see the context menu for showing the meta data!Because PicApport is programmed in Java, it can be used on nearly every Java supporting operating system e.g. Windows, Linux or Mac OS X.

Since version PicApport 2.0.1 photos can be downloaded directly
from one or multiple e-mail accouts. PicApport can be configured so
that the photos are automatically sorted depending on the date or
sender in certain directories. It is also possible to incorporate
information from the e-mail text or subject line directly into the
metadata of the photo. Via a whitelisting of the sender, spam is
prevented.
With this feature it is possible to send photos from a
smartphone to a PicApport server without it being directly
accessible from the internet. If Picapport is started and is
running, PicApport checks regularly if new photos are available.
As an option for experts, the server can be installed without a graphic user interface as a deamon or service.
